Spondylosis is the degeneration of the vertebral column. Spondylosis has different causes then those generally characterized with Spondylolisthesis.
What’s the cause?
The most common cause of Spondylosis is usually age-related wear within the spinal column. Acute or even repetitive trauma, poor posture and arthritis are all culprits.
What are the symptoms?
- Weakness
- Motor disturbances
- Paresthesia
- Radiculopathy
Tests
MRI and CT scans can be used, however a combination of general orthopedic tests combined with the imagine will help determine a true diagnosis.
Treatment
Strengthening and exercise combined with stretching will help slow down progression.
